VNAND Technology and USB 3 Technology

Competitors of WD use VNAND Technology for M.2 NVMe SSDs.

It seems that online retailer distribute VNAND Technology also SATA SSDs.

It is reported, that these VNAND SATA SSDs need an higher power supply voltage than the 5 V which is delivered by the USB 3 port of a notebook.

As a consequence, the VNAND SATA SSDs would no work if operated via an external M.2 SATA to USB 3 converter adapter enclosure.

I have tried to clone my internal disk on an external SATA SSD M.2 SATA to USB 3 converter adapter enclosure.

The cloning software always run in an error.

Unfortunately, I could not find any technical data of the SSD in the internet, and the manufacturer value of the internal data of the SSD is empty.
