Some encrypted external HDs will not run on a MacBook Air while working in Windows OS using Parallel VM software. I understand the issue is that most VM ware will reset the USB port, which causes the drive to lock. Does anyone know whether or not this applies to the My Passport encrypted HDs?
Encryption triggers as soon as the WD Passport detects the connection has been interrupted, so yes.
