I tried to install my Passport Elite on an XP machine and through a chain of events, I downloaded software from Western Digital that stopped my computer  from recognizing the virtual CD therefore and I cannot install the drivers and software.

How do correct this?

Or you can install the drivers using the WD SmartWare disk image… Click on the link below to download this file:

The drivers are located in the ‘‘Extras’’ folder.
