This file does play smoothly on my PC, using KMPlayer.

I’m aware that my firmware is out of date and will upgrade it soon.  I did upgrade it once and the problem persisted.  So a few questions

  1. why does this video file not play smoothly on the unit?

  2. what can I do to have it play smoothly?

  3. is there any other information I can provide?

Thanks very much

–Steve

24.97fps for INTERLACED material seems bizarre to me…   Interlaced is normally 30fps…

How’d you create that file?

GMC: 3 warp points = not gonna work on most media players, especially any using Sigma chipsets. You need a PC or HTPC to handle any files encoded like that. I use an Xbox running XBMC for old anime encoded with GMC. I believe Qpel is another factor that will cause problems. Either re-encode or use another playback device.

I didn’t create it, I downloaded it from the internet.

So I need a re-encoder, I bet there are dozens of free ones available on the internet.  Can you recommend one that is easy to use?  And preferably portable too?

thanks - Steve
