I bought My Passport drive in order to retrieve files from an old Windows Me computer quickly and make them available to the Windows 7 system I’m now using. I succeeded in installing the driver by copying the files which came on the passport to a CD, then telling the system to look there for the driver. Now the drive shows up as a WD SES drive in the list of components under ‘Control Panel - System’ but still does not appear in the list under ‘My Computer’. Does anyone have a possible solution to either access the drive from the System list, or any way to get the My Computer to recognize the drive and make it available?
I doubt the drive is compatible with ME. You may need to network the ME to another PC and transfer that way.
