Using WD My Cloud software on my phone with WIFI

Hi,

Wonder why the WD My Cloud software on the phone can’t use wifi ?

Can somebody please advise. Thanks.

You should be able to. Do you get a particular error message?

I got a Network connection failure (904).

I am using the WIFI on my friend network.

You will need to test if your friend has connectivity limitations related to the ports used by your WD My Cloud. Individual and particular security settings in a WiFi signal can block the connection.

Do you have the same issue at home under your own WiFi signal?

At home is ok for my notebook.

But not my phone on WiFi.

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.

I am having the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S5.  I can connect through my wifi on my home network but have tried several wifi location around town and can’t connect.
