Using WD backup to retrieve files after a clean install of you operating system

I have yet to find any instructions or comments on this subject.  I realize the purpose of backing up your files is if your system crashes you will not lose your important documents, pics, etc.  I am just wondering if anyone has done this and if there is anything special I need to know?  Do I just do a drag and drop or can I use the retrieve function on the SmartWare software?




You can use the retrieve option and keep in mind to select the specific folder to restore the backup.
