I’m moving to a house that hasn’t got a good wifi connection nor a powerful internet signal. I’d like to use the WD Red SATA drives on a docking bay connected to my iMac.

If you mean you’re planning on rendering the My Cloud Home hardware useless and abandon your warranty, then yes, you can remove the drive and use it like any ordinary SATA drive. You’ll need to delete all the existing partitions, repartition, and format the drive to use it natively.
