User Accounts & Groups

Hello! Ok, I want to create a user group, but I am having an issue with user home folders. 1) When a new user account is created, why isn’t a home folder associated with the account? 2) Because I had to create “home” shares, there is no way to associate the “home” shares with the corresponding user in a group.

How do others do this?

Perhaps it would be best to contact WD Support about this. You can do so over the phone or via E-mail.

Ideally, “home directories” should not be part of the users groups. The
home directory should be accessible by the user by default.
