Here you can find a meaningful list of supported WLAN chipsets for the WD Live. http://www.wikidevi.com/wiki/WDTV_Live_Supported_Adapters For the DWA-160 are two different chipsets used: A1/A2: Atheros AR9170+AR9104 B1: Ralink RT2870+RT2850 If you want to use the DWA-160 with the Western Digital Live you have to make sure to get the Revision B1.
