Use Move not Copy data to a new hard drive

I bought a new hard drive and move data from old hard drive to new hard drive by using Move Not copy

I wonder if I sell my old hard drive to someone else. They still can retrieve my important files or not ?

you must zero the drive(reinicialize the entire surface :slight_smile:

with wdtools you can do that

I would rather do a Copy instead of a move.  I have previously seen problem when moving files between drives and the move “fails.”  Then, files somehow disappear.  It really does not matter since you are planing to clear the older drive anyway
