i have a 3TB MyBook external hard drive connected to a 3TB MyCloud device. My idea was to keep an automated backup on the USB drive which i can occasionally take with me. To achieve this I created a cronjob on the MyCloud device to incrementally backup all data to the USB drive. So far, so good. The only problem is: The backup process takes ages. the USB transfer rate is extremely low. to copy a 3 GB file takes a few minutes which definitely is not USB 3. As far as I know both devices are supposed to support USB 3. Any idea on how to improve the transfer rate?
