Usb not recognized

WD EXTERNAL hard drive cant be detected to any of my PC at all – need help any suggestions ?

keep getting the error msg USB NOT RECGNIZED

Hello and welcome to the WD Community.

Have you tried using a different cable? 

Also make sure that you are connecting the unit to a wall outlet as this will give more power to the unit.
