I have bought a 2tb WD Elements portable hard drive. It is not being recognised by my WD TV live, any ideas why?
It needs to be formatted to either NTFS, FAT32, or HSF+ (I believe).
It apparently comes formatted NTFS and is fine with my PC and with Popcorn Hour A300 I have. Could it be a power issue?
a power issue can arise from using a usb cable longer than 18 inches, or if you’re using a non-powered hub.
I’d also try switching usb ports on the WD TV. Some people used to have issues with certain drives. I never did, but that may not have always been the case with others.
