USB good; Thunderbolt does not work

I got the 6TB G-Drive with Thunderbolt and USB3. USB3 works fine; with Thunderbolt neither the drive nor the white LED work. This is on two Windows 10 computers, both of which have software to read/write HFS+ drives.

The G-DRIVE with Thunderbolt requires an active data connection to power up meaning it has to be attached to a working port. Are you sure your computer has Thunderbolt and not just mini display ports? If you are sure it is Thunderbolt, make sure you have the newest version of the Intel Thunderbolt software from your computer manufacturer.

Yes, both computers have Thunderbolt. It looks like I need a
mini-display to USB-C cable - too bad this wasn’t included with the drive!!
