USB drive not recognized - PR4100

I have connected an already used USB drive in order to make a USB backup of my data. I have 3 drives, all of which have been used successfully. Now when I try to connect a drive the PR4100 says there are no USB drives connected. I have tried the following: changing to a different USB port, changing to a different USB drive, rebooting the PR4100. The firmware version is 5.32.102. The drives are readable on my laptop. I have made no changes to the USB Backup tasks which worked last week. I have made no changes to the folder structure on the PR4100. There are no notifications of network interruptions. The NAS is on a robust UPS. What can I do?
