USB Drive Attached

I attached my 1T WD Passport drive to my cloud device for a backup. After the backup was completed. I couldn’t find a way to eject the Passport from the cloud. So I disconnected it from the cloud. In my messages it shows the following:

A USB device (vendor: Western_Digital, model: My_Passport_25E1, serial number: WX21A77FRX93) was removed without being ejected possibly affecting data on My_Passport_25E1.

Is there a way to eject the USB drives? Didn’t see it in windows explorer.
Thanks for the help.

from reading various posts the MCH doesn’t have a “Safely Remove USB” option.

shutting down the device from the dashboard, and then removing the USB seems to be the only option.

So is there a difference between “My Cloud Home” and “My Cloud Personal & Network Attached Storage”? I guess I posted my issue in the wrong forum.

lot’s of differences.

For attached USB drives … i can expand the storage by using an attached USB drive and setting it as a share (MCH only supports importing from USB) and the My Cloud does has a safely eject option in the Dashboard (MCH doesn’t)

I also like the ability to access SSH which i’ve disabled indexing on my MyCloud (MCH doesn’t have SSH)

Thanks for the help.
