USB 3 or USB 2?

I have WD Elements 500gb its supports both usb2 and usb3 . My laptop supports both usb2 and usb3.how can I find out if its transferring with usb3 or usb 2.

Transfer speed for USB 2.0 are 20-35 MB for USB 3.0 is 95/120 MB. Also the USB 3.0 ports are usually blue.
