thx for help

Hi, check if you have the latest firmware installed. Also what is the file format on the 4TB drive? The WD My Cloud device supports the following formats for externally attached USB drives: FAT32, NTFS, HFS+J, Linux, Ext2, Ext3/Ext4, XFS.

hi

thx for the help -

latest firmware is installed -first thing you do before you think you are in trouble…

if you check my post above it says what filesystem is used in the errorcode.

so thx anyway.

after i tested the drive on my pc with chdisk (0 errors) and ejected it savemode -voila it got recognized.

its a WP mybook so it should be fine at that end.

but now since that drive is full of data the my cloud starts indexing like 3 TB of data .

after 5 minutes of doing that its byebye from the network even if the blue LED is on and the thing is still churning.

in a prior post someone got the same problem and stated that a stronger power source than the original would do the trick.

tried that also with no success.

so for now the my book works fine without attached usb drive and thats that.

realy annoying is this indexing anyway - so i hope for future updates…
