Hello all,

I have a problem with my “my book” essential 1TB. I had windows 7 and I foolishly started bitlocker on it, and couldnt turn the **bleep** thing off. And I just installed win 8 and it wont let me access my drive and demand the 48 digit recovery key. What the **bleep** is this recovery key and where can I find it?

Hi, personally I have never tried using bitlocker, in your case I would go directly to the Microsoft support page. Maybe some of the other community members can chime in.
