URGENT: Files dissapeared!

URGENT

I have been storing some important work files in my WD My Passport Ultra drive along with some old photos etc - and only my work folder has disappeared!

What could be the issue? I need to recover them! Is this a fault with the product?

Any help will be fantastic.

You should try contacting WD Support for such issue as it could happen due to the owner permissions on the drive.

Hope you didn’t move the folder to trash << emptied the trash?

  1. Connect your external drive to Mac and check the Trash folder.
  2. In the trash, change the item grouping with VOLUMES.

Also, I would suggest checking the size of your ext-drive. Did you remember the size before adding or removing your folders?
