UPPERCASE al lowercase

Hi there !!!

Am using Synk to keep synchronized some folders from my OS X primary HD to MyBook Live. After being used for several months I noted that mostly of the folders and files are duplicated.

When I copy a Folder named “test” to MyBook Live it appears in the MyBook as is, but if I rename this folder in Macintosh HD to “Test” (note the T in uppercase") and I copy again to MyBook then the folder is duplicated and of course all the contents. Is there any way to avoid this behavior?

That’s a typical behavior of a sync program.

It has no way of knowing that “Test” is actually a rename of “test.”

The only way to avoid it is to set your Sync program (if it can be set) to DELETE files / folders that are no longer present on the source.
