Uploading to MyCloud EX2

Hello, I was wondering if it is common for MyCloud EX2 to consume the internet bandwidth while my PC is uploading files to it. My PC and MyCloud EX2 are the same subnet, so please share with me your thoughts, thanks.

You may want to ask your question in the dedicated EX2 subforum where users more familiar with that device may be able to assist.

How you connected to the Nas will determine if it consumes internet bandwidth. Generally connecting to the My Cloud using Windows File Explorer or Mac Finder won’t use the Internet. Using the Mycloud.Com web portal to copy files to or from the My Cloud will use the internet.

I resolved it by isolating the WAN network from the LAN network, then I copied the file to MyCloud EX2. The result was that the transfer has nothing to do with internet consumption, just purely consuming the bandwidth of the LAN network.

Having said that, I would like to thank you for your reply and care.
