Currently using 32 bit Vista on our Gateway PC. Thinking of moving to Windows 8. Will our WD Caviar Blue 320GB (model # WD3200AAJS -65MOAO) external hard drive work on a pc with Windows 8? Just plug into new pc and work seamlessly? Or is that too easy?
Hi, the WD Caviar blue is an internal drive. Do you have it connected on a USB to SATA enclosure?, regardless of the drive being internal or external it should work on Windows 8, just keep in mind that the permissions might change if you have it connected via USB and upgrade.

Our Blue Caviar sits into a BlacX docking station which connects to the
back of our tower via a USB cable.
