Last week i upgraded my broadband virgin media going from a hub 2 (I recall) to the hub 5 router. Prior to upgade my Mycloud mirror has served me well as a storage and media server (via twonky).
Now since the hub upgrade it’s not working as it should.
On boot up the device is visible on my network via my MacBook and I am able to read and files from the network but not write or upload to the drives.
After 10 mins or so the this cuts out and I’m not able to access the drive on the network and I am unable to access the dashboard locally either (im assuming it’s some kind of time out)
when I am able to access the local dashboard I have noticed that I update the firmware either via the internet or via manual download nor am I able to update or install any new apps.
I’m assuming this is some kind of network router issue?
Is the IP address of your mycloud set statically or by DHCP? What’s is it’s IP address and does match the scheme for the new router? Does the Mycloud appear under the connected devices in the router?
Double check your router settings, especially any security/firewall, etc.
Hey thanks for the response! Just checked the dashboard and the network settings say DHCP - also I have checked in my routers dashboard and there is a firewall enabled . Could disabling this help ?
@Gmusic1
Never heard of a Hub 5 Router. Did you get it from your service provider? If yes, did they provide any documentation with it or any information for setting it up?
My router is Linksys. It is an 802.11ax6e MU-MIMO Tri-band. The most important addresses are reserved (Static).
