I am replacing a WD800AABB in a 6 yr old desktop.
I’ve done the BiOS upgrade, installed the Intel Accelerator in prep of the new HD.
(I’m a newbie so sorry if this is a stupid question)
My question is the WD5000AAKB has 16MB cache, while the WD80 only 2MB. Is there any limitations, motherboard or system in going with a HD w/16MB cache?
My machine is a Gateway:
Pentium 4 2.6GHz
Intel 850 chipset
1GB RAM
