Upgrade my book essential

my 1TB ‘my book essential’ is full, simply question - can the internal hard drive be replaced with a bigger Hard drive?

if so any specific one needed?

if i do need to replace the entire HD i am thinking of the upgrading to the 4TB mybook world edition ii - any comments? is it good?

Hello,

Note: opening the drive enclosure will void the warranty, unless OK from WD tech.

You may upgrade to 2TB WD Green Drive, any size bigger than that would requires new firmware.

If you need more info try contact WD tech support direct for more specific help.

4TB My Book World EDition 2 is a good drive. It is one of the best external drive WD ever offered.
