ok, i can’t remove VCD software, but can i upgrade whit last version ?
Right you, you won’t be able to remove the VCD but you can disable it. There is no update to the Smartware VCD.
U can disable the vcd [virtual CD] by updating the firmware for the VCD Manager which is Available On the WD Download Section . !!! Please make sure that the hdd is NOT Password Protected before Updating the firmware for the VCD Manager Coz u will not get the Option to UNLOCK the Hdd .

Yes, can’t remove VCD software, but hide.
You can upgrade with latest version only to your computer not on VCD.
