Update failed - unit requests a USB device with firmware to be inserted

hello,

First of all, sorry I do not speak English well.

Last Sunday, I wanted to update my “WD HD TV Live” (to 5.1.04), by a USB key (something I’ve done several times).

During the deployment of the update, the progress bar got stuck (I let it run a few tens of minutes).

So I disconnect and reconnect my “WD HD TV Live” and on reboot I got the messages (in different langages) “Insert a USB drive with firmware to recover your WDTV.”

I plug the USB key, but I got the message again. After several tries, I discovered that my usb was broken (no longer detected on two different PCs).

I bought a new usb key, put the firmware on it, and … I still have the message at startup.

I followed the instructions in the FAQ “WD TV firmware update failed, WD logo is frozen on the screen, or unit requests a USB device with firmware to be inserted”

But I always that dirty message: /

In short, I come here with little hope to be able to restart my device.

In advance thank you
