I had to unplug the hub after it froze during video playback. Could this have done any long term damage? Or would this need to have been done several times to do significant harm?
Also I have several mpeg files. Is there a particular program where I could combine them all into one and edit in chapters?
As long you’re not unplugging it during a write to the hub, I cannot imagine that it can do any long term harm, sometimes it is your only choice when the hub becomes unresponsive - Manufactors knows this, so I believe they design it so!

There’s too many to even list. Everything from pretty much any DVD Authoring program, to MKV Merge.
