/etc/rc2.d/S98user-start is a symbolic link to /CacheVolume/user_start. If the folder user_start doesn’t exist, one can create it if needed. There some additional discussion at the following link: https://community.wd.com/t/was-sleep-ever-fixed-on-gen-1-devices/213897/21
As explained in the first post, this patch does not appear to work on a v4.x firmware first single bay My Cloud. It appears this patch may only apply to v2.x firmware and further may need to be modified to work on specific v2.x firmware My Cloud models.
