Unmount safety issues

I am using WD my book old version.
I downloaded and installed the latest version of WD smartware.
Unmounting the previous version turned off WD my book.
However, if it unmounts to the latest version it will only display a message that it has been unmounted safely and will not turn off.
Is it safe to disconnect the USB cable in this state?

Latest version 2.4.21.1 (download from WD homepage)
Previous version 2.1.0.11 (included in WD my book directory)

Hello ryujk,

Although, “Safely Unmounted” message itself a confirmation that you can eject out the My Book. But you can also check the background running process and make sure that My Book is running or using by any software.
