I cannot unlock passport ultra to see what I have on the hard drive.

If you have setup the password on the WD My Passport Ultra drive using WD Security, it is recommended to install WD Security on your computer and try to unlock the drive using it.

If the issue persists, you should try connecting the drive on different computer as it may be helpful to detect the WDUNLOCKR to unlock the drive. If you already know the password, you can unlock the drive using it.
WD security is already installed. Why would you have to install it again? If I erase the drive, does that also erase the setup file that installs the needed files for Wd MyPassport?
