I have a My Book Essential and my problem is that occasionally
my book uninstalls all my files and I have to reinstall them again.
How can I stop this happening.

Check the computer to see if you have a virus that is doing that… I don’t know how is possible that an external drive uninstall a program from your computer

So you are using a desktop computer, also what do you mean by install and uninstall?? Are you talking about the programs? Also make sure the drives power adapter is directly connected to a wall outlet.
