Unable to update Firmware

Today isn’t my day at all.

From the WD My Cloud Dashboard I am trying to updte the Firmware.

So, I click on the Settings icon, then Firmware and then Check For Update. I get the following error message:

Error retrieving firmware upgrade information: Internal server error.
Retry your last operation. If the error persists, contact WD Support for assistance. (370014).

Anyone come across this one?

There’s a bit of a pattern emerging here. I strongly suspect my Virgin media Superhub router is not allowing Internet access to the WD device.

Sorted.

Following the instructions on this web page I managed to set up the Network settings correctly and everything works fine now.
