Unable to sync

Hi (this may be operator error…)
WD Passport for mac / macbook pro
Unable to sync with my cloud home
when it asks for email and PW it says its incorrect…
dbl checked and signed directly into iCloud and that email and pw are correct
(I even tried the email i have associated with WD Passport and that pw it rejects all)

please help me with what may be the obvious!
