Unable to roll back firmware

My wife upgraded to 1.09.10 and ever since then we cannot “Sort & Filter Content” on my Windows Share, which is part of my Media Library.

I have been unable to roll back to 1.08.17 using the instructions found here:  http://wdc.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5860/p/208,393/

I do steps 1 through 4, but nothing after that ever occurs.

Please help.

I’m in the same boat … It won’t see the rollback firmware on the USB stick.

Before you roll back, make sure your content source is still set to My Media Library.

Have you confirmed you have the 3 files on your usb stick:

xxxxxxxxxx.bin

xxxxxxxxxx.fff

xxxxxxxxxx.ver

I rolled back on monday and all ok.

Ok RichUK:

I think that WD just tweaked 1.08.17 to allow a rollback w/o editing the .ver file.  At least the time stamp on the .ver file shows 6-5-12 as to mod date, so I’m guessing that it has been updated.

I’ll try the roll back tonight when I get home from work.

Yes the ver file has now been updated so your rollback should go ahead without any problems.
