I’m trying to restore certain files from My Passport hdd which I had used to back up files from my old laptop and to put them on to my new laptop. Originally, when I installed WD Discovery on the new laptop it would show the dates from when the old laptop was backed up and I could restore from there. The problem was it wouldn’t show the directories only C: drive and so it would only restore everything. Not what I want. I then backed up the new laptop and then tried restore to see what was there and now it only shows the new laptop but now with the directories.
Can anyone help me with my predicament? It’s really annoying, frustrating and wasting a lot of time for something I thought would and should have been straightforward.
