Unable to Reset the WD Elements Play

WD elements Play completely stopped working when I was trying to upgrade the firmwire. I have inserted USB stick with .IMG file , WD never responded. I have Switched off and on WD and I have lost the display completely which was HDMI before. Also remote also become in active. Looks like a total firmwire corruption. As per the manual , there is a Rest Switch near optical port and I have tried pressing it for 4 seconds and no response from WD. Either the switch is not active or WD is not responding due to some other reasons. I am able to read the drive from my Laptop and all files copied are intact. Is there a way to reset the WD through Laptop ? I want to upgrade the firmware too as it is old. Please help

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.
