Unable to Install MySQL Server

After turning on SSH, and logging in via PuTTY, I tried to apt-get install mysql-server without success.

Install gives the following message:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  libc6-ppc64: Depends: libc6 (= 2.13-38+deb7u1) but 2.11.2-2 is to be installed
  locales: Depends: glibc-2.13-1
mysql-server: Depends: mysql-server-5.5 but it is not going to be installed.

Reading this forum, others have been successful installing MySql Server, so it should be possible!

(I was considering downloading package direct from MySQL website, but as I don’t know which processor MyBookLive uses, this was a no-go)

Any suggestion on how to procedd would be really helpful.

never done it, but chances are you need a very specific install, since MBL is not a full blown OS, but a slim version of Debian Lenny. Check see if this site helps

Thanks, but I had already seen that page. As you can see, his install went fine. It was whilst trying to do same, that my install failed!
