Unable to get EX2 to connect for remote file access

I am trying to use the ‘cloud’ features of the EX2 but have not had much success. Regardless of what kind of ports, settings, or configurations I try, I continue to get the message “Cannot establish remote access connection. Make sure you are connected to the internet.”

I have verified the unit is getting to the Internet as it can send email out from the logging menus (test).

Ports are set to 80 and 443 (defaults) and I have set my linksys router port forwarding for both ports.

Can anyone shed some light on why this isn’t working?

EX2 is set to static and works fine on the local network. I have also tried different ports, as well as the auto setting but neither of these seem to make any difference.

Using the latest firmware.


What about a firewall blocking the connection?

Make sure that the remote access option is enable on the unit.

If you haven’t try, please try resetting the unit using the physical button on the back of the unit.


What Router Model?
My Cloud devices will Port Forward on their own if your router supports and has PnP / NAT enabled.
