Unable to delete file from MBL, "Contents" is in use

I’m trying to delete a folder with 132MB (MacOS Leopard) in the Public/Software folder of my MBL by dragging it to the trash. I get the message, “The operation can’t be completed because the item ‘Contents’ is in use.” How do I disable “Contents”, or how can I otherwise delete this folder? My system is iMac 2008, with OSX 10.10, and at the moment the MBL Dashboard does not seem to be responding to my commands via the browser (Firefox v74.0, with a whole bunch of built in protection which seems to be preventing access to the MBL Dashboard. i.e. it won’t let me access the html address, nor recognize and accept the associated certificates. I get the error message 404 (Access Denied)) Any suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks! PS - I get the same result when trying to use the DELETE command in MBL (WD MyCloud) software menu - Error Message: “Can’t delete this folder.”
