I have a 500gb hard disk - WDED1110. Although I have formatted the disk and it is reading on my computer, I am unable to copy any data on to the disk. The error message reads “an unexpected error has occured”. i ran a virus scan and there are no threats detected. is this problem fixable? i cannot replace my wd since i have misplaced the bill. the disk is relatively new, i bought it in june this year. please help
The error message reads:
Error 0x8007045D: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error
Try testing the drive with a different cable.
