Unable to connect to wdmycloud over Wi-Fi (Windows , Mac)

I won’t speak for anyone else but since the March update windows 10 and the My Cloud play nice. For the most part in my case Windows 10 played nice prior to the March update EXCEPT for the fact it wouldn’t show up under “Computer” in Windows File Explorer. The Windows 10 problem that affected many NAS boxes was related to Samba. I had no problem mapping the Shares using the IP Address or accessing the My Cloud using the IP Address. Microsoft appears to have fixed the Samba problem that has been discussed in other threads that affected not only the My Cloud but other NAS devices.

See my post (and others) in the Compilation of Windows 10 Methods, Steps and Solutions on the March update:

Windows Media Player is still in Windows 10, at least on both my Win 10 PC’s, its just superseded with Microsoft Groove. One can still use Windows Media Player if its available in Windows 10.
