I have been using the WDWE1TB (Western Digital World Edition 1TB) for several weeks. I found sometimes Windows 7 was unable to connect to the network drives when the PC was rebooted either by restarting or shut-down.
When the PC was in the sleep mode:
- I rebooted PC. Windows 7 was unable to connect to the network drives. Then I used WD Discovery to connect the network drives. No Problem, all the networks drives showed up in the Windows Explorer.
- Rebooted the PC again. Windows 7 was still unable to connect to the network drives.
- However, if I access any file in WDWE1TB before rebooting the PC, Windows 7 was able to connect to the network drives when I reboot the PC.
If my observation is correct, Windows 7 is unable to connect to network drives when WDWE1TB is in “sleep” mode. However, I would like to know if other users have the same problem or this is an isolated problem to me.
