Unable to back up

WD Elements 2TB external hard drive is not able to find the drive to back up when using WD Access, or MS backup. However, it appears in windows file explorer as :g drive, and has written ‘Catalog1.edb’ but when I click on the file it is unknown, there is no back up schedule, and it’s not available during the WG Access setup, which only finds dropbox. Whether it’s relevant or not it was previously formatted to Fat but I erased that data and it’s now formatted to 'NTFS '.

WD access software cannot be used to create a backup on your WD Elements drive as it’s not a backup software.

However, MS Backup (Microsoft backup software) can be used to create a backup on the drive.
