Unable to access locally cannot check firmware or update?

I am not able to access my cloud local ui for some reason. I can access it as a shared drive and it shows up in my network (MacOS 10.14.3) I can also access via the web login, but I cannot reach the device via local/ui

I think it is one of two things. There is only 4% of the space remaining on the device (I could see that on the web login) or it is a firmware issue with MacOS?

It seems the only way to see what firmware you are on and/or upgrade is through the local login?

Appreciate any help on this.
