Unable to Access files On Passport Hard Drive

The portable Hard Drive (WD Passport) shows about one half on memory used.  All of a sudden the files obviously on the drive are there, but when I try  to access these files by clicking on the My Passport icon, a message show that there are no files on the drive.  How can I access the files on the drive?  Did I lose the drivers, and if so, how can I reinstall them?

If you can still access the passport, try enabling the show hidden files and folders option. If that doesn’t work, your files might be corrupted, so you will need to use a data recovery program like TestDisk for example.
