Unable to access Dashboard via web browser

I have a 2TB My Book Live that I copied about 1TB of video and music files over to. I am able to see the drive in Windows explorer ( Windows 8) but for some reason I cannot access using Chrome or IE browsers, all I get is ‘Web page not available’

I have tried un plugging the power, paper clip reset all to no change.

Any support is appreciated.

Hi there, try to check if another computer is able to access the dashboard, something you can try as well, is to check if there is any anti virus software that does not let you access the dashboard.

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried a different computer and turned of my anti virus but I still have the same problem.

Hello, on this case, try to connect the unit directly to the computer and see if it is possible to access the dashboard, if this does not work then I suggest contacting support:

Had the same problem after updating firmware. I could access shared folders and Twonky server via browser calling device ip and port 9000

In my network the WD My Cloud has fixed IP, but couldn’t access dashboard via web browser.

What I’ve found was that apache server wasn’t running (to be able to access port 80 (for dashboard http://wdmycloud/UI)

To solve this you have to access via SSH (that should have been enable before in wdmycloud configurations I guess) and enable apache web server (that wasn’t running)) using command:

/etc/init.d/apache2 start

Information about connecting via SSH in this page as example http://blog.cloud-client.info/?p=1365
