Unable do connect to MyCloud EX2 Ultra using FTP

Hello guys. I cannot connect to Mycloud EX2 Ultra using FTP. I already tried every single suggestion on this community without any success.
O enter the OS 5 page (firmware : 5.30.103), select FTP on network menu, and then go to Folders and also select FTP.
But i had no sucess in connect using FileZilla. I tried other and none of them worked. I keep receiveng the folowing Error messagem: Tentativa de conexão falhou com “ECONNREFUSED - Conexão recusada pelo servidor”.

Is there any other suggestion? Do I have to add a port forwarding or something? I use TP Link Deco as my network to do all DHCP work. Thanks Walter

I am not an expert, so if you could tell me the step by stepa I would be gratefull.

Are you attempting to access from a PC on the same home network or are you on another external network (inside your router/firewall or outside)?

Are you using a valid EX2 user to login?

If you are outside your home network, then you will need to use port forwarding or a VPN to get in. You should refer to the TP link documentation for steps.

Saudade, I am trying to access FTP from PC (windows) on the same home network. I tested the FTP using another NAS Asustor that I have and it worked, so the problem should be with the WD EX2 Ultra configuration or some bug.

So in the FTP Network settings, verify the default port used is 21.

On the Share you want to access, verify FTP access is enabled. If the default access is “Anonymous None” change it to “Anonymous Read Only” (just to test).

In Filezilla, are you using the Name or the IP address?

Make sure Port used is 21.

With Anon Read Only, you should be able to connect to the share’s root.

I tried a lot of options and none solved the problem. Then, just like a miracle when I was trying another test with FileZilla, opened on my computer screen to accept some sort of security certificate to add as trustable. After this, all started to work. I have no idea what happened but it appeared after I created a new user and used the option Anonymous to this specific new user. I hope this info helps someone in the future.
